ANNOUNCEMENTS: May
19, 2013 IN THE NAME OF CHRIST we welcome all who worship here
today. Please quietly begin your
preparation for worship at 10:50 a.m.
We will try to begin announcements at 10:55 am. Please visit our website. It is updated regularly with current
information and announcements. GUESTS: The members of this church welcome
you. We encourage you to fill out a
yellow guest’s welcome card and return it by placing it in the offering
plate. You are encouraged to learn
more about our congregation through our website: holytrinitylutheran.ws CHILDREN ARE WELCOME IN OUR WORSHIP
SERVICE and are
strongly encouraged to be present with us.
Children and their families are especially encouraged to sit on the
front two pews where they can see and where the Children’s Message is
presented. Our nursery is available if
it is needed. Pagers are available
for parents in the Nursery. Rainbow
bags for children 2 - 7 years old are available in the Narthex. REMEMBERING OUR BAPTISM:
A bowl of water is placed at the entrance of the Sanctuary to remind
us that we enter the church through Holy Baptism and that we are sent into
the world to serve others with the love of Christ. As you leave worship today, you are
encouraged to mark your forehead with this water and with the sign of the
Cross as a reminder of this calling. COMMUNION: Welcome to the Lord’s Table. All Christians who believe that Christ is
present in the Sacrament and are properly prepared in their own church are
invited to participate. Communion will
be at the altar. All children who are
not yet prepared for communion are invited to come to the Lord’s Table for a
blessing. SUNDAY CHURCH SCHOOL concludes today. COUNCIL MEETING: The May/June council
meeting will be held today at 6:00 pm.
All newly elected members are asked to attend. VACATION: Pastor Ridenhour
will be on vacation from May 24-May 31.
He will be in the office on Monday this week. NEW INTERN: Tristan Shin has a
brief bio at holytrinitylutheran.ws. YOUTH LOCK-IN: On Friday, May 24 at 8:00 pm all middle and high school youth and their friends are invited to a night of activities, conversation, worship, food, fun and fellowship. Bring a snack, a sleeping bag and lots of energy. We’ll wrap up at 8:00 am on Saturday morning with a light breakfast. If possible let Vicar Jon know you’re coming and if you plan to bring any friends. |
